Sapienza Università di Roma

The Sapienza Unit is coordinated by Marcella Corsi, feminist economist and expert in history of economic ideas, whose research currently focuses on gender inequality and feminist pedagogy.

The Sapienza Unit contributes to the online database with datasets specifically devoted to the Italian women economists in academia (1950-1999); creates a dataset of publications by economists based in Italian universities (1950-1999) from international datasets of publications in economics (Econlit; RePEc and Scopus); collects and integrates the main metadata of the publications in the datasets created. By analysing the metadata of the publications identified, the Unit defines the changing role of women in the production of economic literature and highlights the specialisation and contribution of women economists in the time span 1950-1999.

The Unit is composed by Carlo D’Ippoliti, feminist economist and expert in research evaluation; Nerio Naldi, economist and expert in economic archival research; Giulia Zacchia, feminist economist and expert in history of women economists.
